About
the Story
Did you ever wonder
what a horse is saying when they whiny and neigh? Well if you have,
this film is for you! This short family film was inspired by director/producer
Waple’s own horse Tequilla Sunrise. Tequilla is a 5 year old
buckskin quarterhorse that Sherry purchased when Tequilla was only
9 months old. Having raised the youngster with little to no training
in horses, Sherry and Tequilla have acquired a very strong bond.
“Spending that much time around horses, and hearing them “talking”
to each other, you begin to wonder what exactly they are saying.
That’s when I decided to direct a film from the horse’s
perspective and what they may actually be saying to each other”,
comments director Waple.

About
the Production
Horsetalk
is being shot at various locations throughout Pennsylvania. It
will be shot over an extended period of time, capturing the horses
in their natural environment, during their daily routines, and
their interaction with the other horses, animals and the people
they share their lives with. We will also be traveling to area
shows where the horses compete in many events. We will be shooting
DV using various cameras including the Canon XL1.
